BIO

Duo Velox was established in 2016 at The University of New Mexico. The ensemble consists of Kaitlyn Neufeld on Clarinet and Aaron Burr on Saxophone. Duo Velox has performed at conferences including the International Clarinet Association's Clarinetfest, Regional and Biennial North American Saxophone Alliance conferences, the International Duo Symposium, and the Texas Music Educators Association conference. The purpose of this ensemble is to standardize repertoire for the clarinet and saxophone duo, present community outreach, and commission new works. The Duo is an advocate for new music, working with electronics, and pushing the boundaries of the clarinet and saxophone duo in composition and performance.
